Cheap ramen

Comfortable place with space for kids. The ramen is tasty and the broth rich. We had the Kumamoto ramen and some cold chicken ramen (with lemon). Both were much better than what you can find in Singapore. The chicken karaage was a highlight. It was crispy and the sauce amazing. Prices were affordable - refer to my picture.

Good value ramen joint with simple menu. Go jus 15mins before meal time and there were no queue and we got a seat right away. Free drinking water, and until 8pm they hv promotion: 300yen for draft beer with ramen order. Organized, feel clean and friendly but prompt service. Will go again, taste very good. Broth is thick but not as greasy, a bit on salty side, like any other ramen. Ramen is around 480-700++ yen. Menu in english is available. Kumamoto ramen is my fav.

Best ramen I have ever eaten, you must try it once

My favorite ramen in Japan other than tokyos tsukemen! Way better than issou and Ippudo from Hakata as this one was flavorful yet not heavy. We got the full topping version for 680JPY which was spectacular. Fried chicken seems to be double fried with sweet and slightly sour sauce, kinda like Panda Express sweet and sour chicken only way better! Short line to get in around 2pm. Highly recommend this Kumamoto ramen joint!!!

Awesome Ramen, my wife and I shared the option with char siew slices all around the rim, and added noodles just because we needed to get our fill of the awesome thin ramen.The gyoza was awesome too!

The food was really good. They have English menu which is really good in this city. The person who served us was really nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

I received 700 yen for all the recommended well-balanced rament toppings.Straight thin noodles in a soup with mer oil probably in a tonkotsu base. The smell was lighter than Hakata and Kurume.The toppings are char siu, menma, jellyfish, sprouts, half boiled eggs and half-boiled eggs. Of course, you can also substitute.It was delicious.

There is no english menu but it is fairly easy to order the food by pointing to the photo in google review, thanks to other local guides. The kumamoto ramen is fantastic! The broth is rich flavored and not overly salted. The noodle is cooked just nice. The curry ramen is good too but it mayb too hot and spicy for others. I ordered the fried dumplings too and it is also good. Highly recommended and i would say the kumamoto ramen is a must eat food when u visit Kumamoto.

Absolutely enjoyed my experience here. The staff greeted me in a cheerful manner, and when she realized that I wasn't understanding her, she immediately started speaking to me in English. Clearly explained the menu and helped me throughout my entire time there. The food came out quickly, even though they were very busy, and tasted great. I would highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for a quick place to get some decent food with good price, then this is the place. There are english menu which is a huge help. It's a place that I would love to have when I was in college. You get what you pay for,and people are nice there.

Delicious and good price!Ate here two times in 3 days. Had two different set meals. The chicken karaage was the best choice. Add an extra portion of noodles for 100Â¥ more is a great idea too!

Decent and cheap ramen. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, free water and clean restroom. Try the spicy ramen with topping of boiled egg!

Staff here are very friendly even they only can speak limited English. I cannot finished the whole bowl of ramen, it contains 9 pieces of chashu. The chashu were slightly overcooked. The side dishes here were great too especially the deep-fried chicken. Crispy outside, tender inside.

Simply walked into this place without any expecting extraordinary but came out with my mind blown. Ordered kumamoto ramen, curry ramen, karaage and gyoza. Everything was on point and that karaage was the spotlight for me. It's savory, sweet and the sour zing. Definitely a must order. Staff even provided us with english menu.

The ramen here is really cheap and delicious. The atmosphere of the shop makes you feel the era of Showa.I am also fascinated by the single dish, but I would like you to try Kumamoto ramen here.Speaking of Kumamoto, mar oil! It's like art. Look at the photo.

Fantastic ramen. I highly recommended the spicy ramen and the karaage. In particular the karaage here is unique, somewhat reminiscent of Chinese fried chicken dishes but still unique. The Kumamoto style ramen is also good. My go to ramen shop downtown.

Awesome Ramen & Karaage Chicken, low price lunch!

The price is reasonable. Ramen is quite special and delicious. Gyoza is ok to try. This place requires some walk from the tram station, I will visit again the next time I come to Kumamoto

It’s a good Kumamoto style ramen. Similar to Hakata, but with extra creamy broth with more hint of garlic, and black grilled garlic oil top. One yokibari ramen will be just enough for a average male. It’s a very rustic ramen restaurant that only what they are good at. Kumamoto Ramen. Would be 5 starts if the toppings are also good as the broth.

Fairly cheap ramen and decent. Environment has a grungy/no frills feel. Cha siu ramen for 750: good, but I recommend submerging all the pork pieces in the broth for a little bit before consuming, otherwise the first bites are dry and disappointing. Chicken karage: Coated/marinated with sweet sauce/sesame akin to general tsao, but is decent. English menu available, but I’m not sure if I want to order “boiled hormones”.

Ramen Akagumi is located in Ueno back in the center of Kumamoto. It may be hard to find for tourists. Impression that there are many local people. First of all, it's famous as YOCOBACHI. Originally, you should eat Kumamoto ramen, but since there are many sake ate on the menu, you can use it for a little drinking party. Among them, gyoza and sprouts are recommended-they are quite delicious. Recently curry ramen! I think this is pretty cool ^ _ ^

The noodles are thin bone noodles rather than Hakata ramen rather than Kumamoto.Offer is very early and cospa is very good, too.The ramen, of course, was so delicious that the dumplings were so delicious that I couldn't seem to do it because I couldn't do mail order.That sweet taste is never forgotten in Hokkaido.The parking lot had a coin parking nearby.I do not know the direction of Kumamoto but it was enough satisfaction for me as a tourist from Hokkaido!!
